I'm pretty sure I've already mentioned how much I love fall. And I've been lucky enough to spend the last two weekends on some great fall adventures.
First, My mom and I went to Asheville, NC.
Asheville is in the mountains, obviously, so we enjoyed them! We ran and hiked and enjoyed the mountains and changing leaves. Even though we had to suffer through one rainy and cold day, it was the perfect time of year: not too cold and lots of colorful leaves.
We basically played tourists all weekend; we went to toured the Biltmore during the rainiest day, and then we went back when it was sunnier to tour its gardens.
Of course, we did what Asheville is known for: we drank beer and ate good food. We also got some really delicious chocolates that I didn't take a picture of because we ate them too fast.
Then, my friend, Megan, and I went apple picking at Sky Top Orchards.
There were more mountains and more leaves and apples! Apple picking is one of my favorite things to do in the fall.
And, of course, I baked apple pies afterwards!
